West Lodge Bed and Breakfast is a converted Coach House set in two acres of mature garden yet just 80 yards from the centre of East Bergholt on the Essex/Suffolk border in the heart of Constable Country.
East Bergholt and Constable Country
From here under the famous East Anglian skies you are within walking distance of Constable Country's Flatford Mill, the Dedham Vale and many areas of outstanding natural beauty.
East Bergholt, birthplace of John Constable, is equidistant from Ipswich and Colchester thus the historic towns of Hadleigh, Kersey, Lavenham, Woodbridge and Bury St Edmunds are just some of the special places to visit less than 45 minutes away whilst Southwold, Aldeburgh, Snape and the spectacular East Coast Wetlands are not much further afield.
Accommodation
There are three double bedrooms, all en suite, with one of them having available an interconnecting children’s room with two single beds.
Our guests are welcome to use the “snug” with TV and DVD and to enjoy all the numerous delights of the garden. The house is full of magazines, books, DVDs and videos for you to enjoy.
Meals
Breakfast and (optional) dinner can be taken in the traditional country home dining room or alfresco on the terrace or in the gazebo. Feel free to take a look at our sample menus.
