Breakfast

These are just a few dishes from a large repertoire (Paul was a professional chef) and we may change them according to the market and seasons.

Breakfast
(price included in room charge)

Orange juice or half pink grapefruit
Muesli, bran flakes or porridge
Wholemeal and white toast, butter and jams

Then:

Two eggs of your choice,
one Jimmy’s Farm sausage, two rashers of local dry cure bacon, black pudding,
grilled tomato and mushroom

Freshly baked croissants,
pains au chocolate
Bowl of seasonal fruits,
Edam cheese and ham

Other options:

Poached eggs with herbs
Cheese and tomato omelette
Scrambled egg with smoked salmon and chives
Grilled kippers
Kedgeree

Hot mousseline of chicken with mushroom sauce
Twice cooked goat’s cheese soufflé
Classic French onion soup gratinee
Grape melon and prawn cocktail
Three bean salad with mint and feta cheese

Roast smoked cod loin with lentils and chorizo
Grilled sea bass with aubergine caviar and
tomato and pepper salsa
Old Spot pork sausages, onion sauce and bubble and squeak cake
Mushroom and bacon stuffed chicken leg
Braised steak with leek and stilton sauce
Chickpea stroganoff

N.B. the local shop (80 yards) which stays open until 8.00pm sells a wide selection of wines and beers which we are happy to serve at no extra charge
